About Me
Hi, I’m Maria, a nutrition coach, and someone who truly understands what it’s like to feel stuck in a complicated, painful relationship with food and body dysmorphia.
For years, I struggled with binge eating disorder, and the endless cycle of eating and restricting, yo-yo dieting, and chasing the next “quick fix.”
I tried every fad diet going in my desperation to be ‘slim’ – juice cleanses, diet pills, detox teas, fat blockers, Weight Watchers – anything that promised a fresh start or a new body in a short space of time. I’d lose weight, then regain it, and every time I looked in the mirror, I felt like I’d failed again.
But over time (a very long time), I realised I wasn’t actually as broken as I thought. I was just trying to meet emotional needs that diets and restriction could never fill. I learnt that the way I looked did not define me. I could still enjoy my life while having no thigh gap!! Things finally started to change when I stopped fighting my body and really started to listen to it.
That’s when I swapped guilt for curiosity, and punishment for compassion. You could say, I started to listen to my gut instincts – literally and emotionally – and that changed everything.
While I’ve now made peace with my body and how it looks, I’ve never stopped wanting to feel my best. That’s what led me to focus on improving my health through diet, movement, mindset, and lifestyle – a holistic approach that’s finally given me the balance and freedom I’d been searching for for over 20 years.
That journey inspired me to study nutrition and dedicate my work to helping others build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food.
Now, I help people who feel stuck in cycles of overeating, guilt, or self-doubt, but also those who just want to feel better in their bodies. Maybe you’re hoping to lose weight in a sustainable way, boost your energy, or finally find balance with food while still enjoying life. Whatever your goals are, my approach is all about empathy, balance, and flexibility. No extremes, no perfection, just real life.
If you’re here, I want you to know something: you can have a healthy relationship with food and still enjoy it. You can feel strong, confident, and energised without giving up the things that make you happy. You can trust your body again. You can live a full life. One that isn’t ruled by the next meal or the next Monday.
You deserve that freedom, and I’d love to help you find it.
Finally, you are beautiful, inside and out, just the way you are.
Wishing you balance and peace,
